The crossbearing. In the middle Christ with the cross on the shoulders. On the left Simon van Cyrene, on the right Veronica, Maria and Johannes. On both sides of Christ the two murderers, above priests on horseback. The procession is accompanied by Roman soldiers. The painting was made for the St. Francis Xaverius church (De Krijtberg) on the Singel in Amsterdam.
